3. Microphone and Audio Permissions

The application does not continuously listen to, record, store, or transmit your voice.

If a recitation verification or speech-assisted Quran memorization feature is used, microphone access requested through android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO is used only when you explicitly initiate that feature.

Audio Processing

Recitation and memorization audio inputs are processed in memory or locally on your device for immediate recitation feedback.

The application does not record, upload, archive, or share your voice recordings with external servers or third parties.

Permission Denial

You may grant or deny microphone permission through your Android system settings.

Denying this permission will not affect Quran reading, translations, Thafseer, or audio playback.

4. Quran, Malayalam Translation and Thafseer

The application provides access to Holy Quran Arabic script, Malayalam translations, Thafseer explanations including Cheriyamundam and Amani Thafseer, Arabic recitations from Qaris, and Malayalam audio explanations.

Local Storage and Offline Functionality

Downloaded Quran texts, Malayalam translations, Thafseer databases, and audio files are stored in your device's app-private storage using local database technologies, including Hive CE.

You can manage, clear, or delete downloaded audio and content through the Storage settings within the application.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

The application does not sell, rent, trade, lease, or monetize user data.

Personal reading progress and preferences are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to external servers by the application.

When you stream or download Quran recitations or Malayalam audio, your device connects to content delivery servers such as EveryAyah, Islamic Network, MP3Quran, and Thafseer Amani to retrieve the requested audio files.

These services may receive standard technical information associated with network requests, such as your IP address.

6. Internet Access and Device Permissions

The application requests standard Android permissions to provide its features.

• Internet Access: INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE are used to stream and download audio and retrieve Malayalam audio and Thafseer files.
• Foreground Service: FOREGROUND_SERVICE and FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK are used to support continuous Quran recitation and Thafseer playback when the application is in the background or the screen is off.
• Notifications: POST_NOTIFICATIONS on Android 13 and later is used to display media playback controls in the notification tray and lock screen.
• Wake Lock: WAKE_LOCK helps prevent the device processor from sleeping during active audio playback.

7. Third-Party Services

The application uses public audio content delivery services to provide Quran recitations and Malayalam audio explanations.

The application does not integrate Firebase Authentication, Google Cloud Firestore, advertising SDKs, or advertising identifiers.

The application does not display advertisements.

8. Children's Privacy

Memorize Quran & Thafseer - ML is an educational and religious application designed for general audiences, including children learning to read and memorize the Holy Quran.

The application does not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from children under the age of 13.

All Quran text, translations, and audio features can be used without creating an account.

Your reading progress and personal preferences are stored locally in the application's private storage.

Communications with external audio content delivery servers use encrypted connections such as HTTPS and TLS.
